GCME Contributes to the Success of Thai Oil’s Clean Fuel Project (CFP)

GC Maintenance and Engineering Company Limited (GCME) has been entrusted to participate in the construction and engineering installation works under the Clean Fuel Project (CFP) of Thai Oil Public Company Limited. GCME’s scope of work includes Structure, Mechanical & Piping (SMP) execution across several key offsite and utility units, operating as a Construction Contractor under the EPCM management of Foster Wheeler (Thailand) Limited, the appointed Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) company for the project.

GCME’s involvement underscores the company’s capability to support one of the most complex and largest refinery development projects in Southeast Asia.

CFP – A National-Scale Project Enhancing Thailand’s Energy Industry
The Clean Fuel Project was initiated with the objective of elevating Thai Oil’s refining capability and reinforcing its position as a regional leader in clean energy. The project focuses on:

• Increasing crude refining capacity from 275,000 → 400,000 barrels per day
• Upgrading product quality to Euro 5 standards
• Converting low-value products (e.g., fuel oil, asphalt) into higher-value fuels such as diesel and jet fuel
• Supporting the global transition toward cleaner energy
• Strengthening Thailand’s potential as an Energy Hub within the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)

GCME’s Engineering Contribution to Critical Units within the CFP
GCME is responsible for executing Structure, Mechanical & Piping (SMP4 and SMP5) works across essential Offsites & Utilities units that support overall refinery operations, including: ETP – Effluent Treatment Plant & WTP – Water Treatment Plant

GCME has delivered these works with the highest safety standards, strong engineering expertise, and extensive experience in large-scale refinery environments—enabling high-quality execution and supporting TOP in progressing the CFP toward its intended milestones.
