On March the 28th, 2022, GC Maintenance and Engineering Company Limited (GCME) has signed a contract for the Biorefinery Pilot Plant Construction Project with the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. The value of the awarded contract is US$100 million.
The Biorefinery Pilot Plant comprises of GMP processes (Microbial Production, Downstream and Bioconversion Process), non-GMP process (Biomass Pretreatment & Cellulosic Production, Bioprocess, Fermentation & Downstream Process, and Chemical Conversion Process), utilities and laboratory. The establishment of the Biorefinery Pilot Plant will strengthen and enhance the ability of Thailand to develop and produce value-added agricultural products, boosting agricultural private sector income and improving living standards of Thai people.
GCME is honored to be a part of this project, which aims to provide better opportunities for millions of households in agriculture industry. With over 20 years of experience in the field of Engineering, procurement and Construction (EPC), GCME will draw on our longstanding skills and expertise to deliver the Biorefinery Pilot Plant Project to NSTDA in accordance with project objectives. The construction of the Biorefinery Pilot Plant is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
